The concept of “truth to material ” was one of the main principles of the Bauhaus movement and the common belief was that material must be used in its most honest form and that its original nature should not be changed.
The workshop that Maayan created offered the choice of material as derived from a personal connections to a place, time and memory through working with materials, shapes and textures, which reflect the memory of each participant.
